If the disease was feline leukemia, that’s contagious and you should have your other cats vaccinated so they don’t catch it from the same place Mishi did. Grief for animals is normal, same as grief for people is normal.

Recently I discovered that many common dog and cat diseases were linked to their diet. I thought I was feeding my dog the right foods, doing all the right things yet he had health issues. His health improved significantly when his diet was changed.
The following list includes diseases stemming from the diet of dogs and cats:
Allergies stemming from foods. For dogs, problem foods include chicken, eggs, beef, and dairy, grains such as soy, wheat, even corn. For Cats foods such as milk and fish. Arthritis Dental Disease resulting from diet lacking foods to chew that clean the teethKidney Failure from low moisture in foods and sources of protein. Urinary Infections and Crystals often caused by dry, high carb dietHyperthyroidism where there are high levels of thyroid hormone in the blood; such as chemicals found in cat foodChronic Diarrhea and Vomiting-the proteins in grains are less digestible than the animal proteins. Immune Disorder Diseases when immune system weakens from non-nutritive protein and carb particlesPancreatitis and Diabetes where the pancreas loses ability to respond and in some cases the pancreas no longer produces insulin, results in diabetes.Seizures can stem from chemical dyes and preservativesDisease of Liver especially for cats, diet high in animal protein is the problemCancer has many dietary risk factors such as:
