Well hi! :3 Well, before I tell you my story, let me say, MY PET IS NOT DEAD. But it’s similar so listen up please.
I have these 2 cats each one years old. We had them for a year and had them ever since they were a kitten. My little sister and I love them to death! But recently, my cats have been scratching up our furniture and our house kind of started to smell. Which I don’t even know why our house is really neat and clean. But anyways, my mom started to develop allegories of the cats. She has diabetes, high blood pressure, all that stuff so she really doesn’t need anything else. So, my mom said that she will have to get rid of them. But my sister and I never really paid much attention because our mom hasn’t given them up yet… until today. We were in our car on the way to our house and our mom said, “Someone wants to take the cats.” and I asked who and she said a Pet Shelter. And she talked about how the shelter is really good and everything so that was good. But, we giving them away next saturday! When I heard that, my heart sunk. My 8 year old sister started crying. And I felt so bad. And I keep saying to myself to stay strong and not to cry but I’m kind of afraid that I’m going to cry. My mom also told the shelter that our cats are sisters and doesn’t want them split up and doesn’t want them put to sleep either and they will take very good care of them. But whats good is, they will send us pictures. But, I’m still afraid I’m going to cry… Does anyone know how to help me get mentally prepared for this?
I forgot to mention we will be moving soon and the house were most likely to move isn’t allowed to have pets.
And sadly no one is willing to take them either.

VK no one is ever ready for this or any loss of a loved pet(animal) its hard for us humans to loos things we love so much so to be ready is NEVER you have a heart and those strings are being pulled and their is no way to help with this only you can strengthen your heart for that final day,,,, sorry to hear you will have to give your pets up lets hope someone will take them in together I wish you well and best of luck when the time arrives.PS is their any family willing to take your friends like grand parents or cousins or uncle????
