GUESS THAT BREED!! Please? :)? {article}
Question by Dont Litter Fix Your Critter: GUESS THAT BREED!! Please?
?
So, yesterday my boyfriend and I were driving (in the rain) to his friends house for movie night
. All of a sudden I saw this little thing moving along the road (pretty busy, and full of BIG trucks) and I was like “what is that? Is that a cat?” so anyway, come to find out it’s a TINY LITTLE PUPPY! Of course I pick it up, because I do NOT want it to get run over.. plus it was raining! Who the eff lets a tiny puppy out like that in the rain, there weren’t any houses around or anything?? Anyway, I have no idea how old it might be or even it’s breed. It’s kind of fluffy, has tiny ears and a tiny tail lol. I cannot keep her, I hope to find her owner or find a home for her… but right now we’re calling over Olive. I know they aren’t the best of pics, if you want me to take more and try again then just let me know.
I am wondering how big do you think she’ll get? I tried to get pictures with her feet in them (mostly unsuccessful) cause I know sometimes you can base height/weight off of feet . Thanks for any help here’s the pics:

P.S. – We put the collar on her. We didn’t find her with the collar on.

I think she is very cute..I dont’ think she is going to get super big, if your going to keep her just make sure you have her on a diet that is well balanced and good for her..I don’t know the breed but she is so cute
It looks to be maybe a Yorkie cross. It looks like it will stay pretty small, but I couldn’t exactly see it’s size next to other things.
perhaps a breed of husky???? just wondering cuz of the blu eyes, i am almost certainly wrong, but hey i tried. im a coonhound guy
Awww what a cute pup.
Whoever let this little girl out in the rain alone at that age definitely shouldn’t be keeping her.
I guess maybe shepherd or yorkie in her? It’s so hard to tell when they’re so young
At the moment, she is honestly too young to make a good guess, but just working off her colors and young looks, I’d say German Shepherd Dog and Rottie mix. As for height and weight, assuming she is a GSDXRottie then she’ll at least be 24″+ tall and maybe 60+lbs?
I’d wait til she gets a little older (like a month or two) then repost here on Y! asking for opinions again, because they are likely to change.
She is adorable though!
Depending on how old she is. She kind of looks like a Shepherd/Rottie mix, which if that were the case she could be around 90 lbs.
I suppose if she is 2 months old I could see some type of Yorkie mix, but it’s hard to tell how old she is in those pics.
Looks like a German shepherd puppy to me.
If i where you i would go and google image some different kid of dog puppies, see what matches up..
But what i would really do is take it to the vets. Because they can tell you what breed, how old, and if it has a chip in it or not.. The puppy might be lost.. *shrugs* She’s cute though.
It almost looks like a baby german shepherd puppy in a way. But maybe a mix of shepherd and something. I would say she is going to be a medium sized dog. She is soooo adorable I would take her for sure if I lived close to you.
looks to me like it might be a mix breed i think it has either got rottweiler or some sort of shepard in it
She looks like a mix between a German Shepard and something else.
98% Positive shes a mix.
Very cute though.
that dog is REALLY young, and could easily get sick from the rain. you should take it to a shelter, like, immediately. good thing you found it though!!!..
This looks like a very young large breed puppy, I would say she would reach Lab size or larger. With a small tail and ears folded so close to the skull like that I would say she is very young. If you have a no-kill shelter you should take her there, she may be young enough to need specialist care, and she will definitely need worming and health checking as a precaution. If you want to find her a new home yourself you must take her to the vet as soon as possible. I do not think that you will have much luck tracing an owner for her, she does not look old enough to be away from her mom yet so I would guess she was either dumped or was part of a stray litter.
